Vaksinering

Vaccination

Vaccine(s) are intended to activate your immune system without making you sick, so when you first get sick/infected by what you have been vaccinated against, you will get less sick or not sick at all. Vaccination is therefore a good preventive measure to avoid serious illness or, in the worst case, death.

Getting vaccinated can also prevent others from being infected by you, and is a very sensible thing to do if, for example, you live together or spend a lot of time with other people who are in the Health risk group. These can be elderly people with impaired health, or people with chronic or other immunosuppressive diseases, etc. Getting vaccinated generally results in better health and can also prevent others from getting sick from you.
